Cross-contamination

The transfer of pathogens between surfaces, equipment, or people during tattooing. Prevented by single-use needles, gloves, and strict hygiene protocols.

In detail

Legitimate studios use single-use needles opened in front of the client, disposable ink caps, and change gloves between tasks. Sharing ink caps between clients is a serious contamination risk.
