⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can’t say enough good things about Great Lakes Tattoo in Chicago. These artists are the best of the best — the talent level is obvious the moment you walk in. On my first visit I spoke with Nick, who helped me create a clear plan for finishing my unfinished traditional floral sleeve, and I’ve been working with Matt on the tattoo itself. It was especially helpful to have guidance with the design and figuring out how to move forward, because I had been stuck in analysis paralysis for a while. They took the time to understand the existing work, respected the style, and are bringing it together beautifully. They get straight to the point while still being friendly and respectful, and their work really gets down to business and speaks for itself. The shop runs seriously and professionally, but the atmosphere is still welcoming and comfortable. Highly recommend Great Lakes Tattoo — true professionals you can trust to bring your vision to life. I had a really fun time as well!

Excellent tattoo studio filled with incredible artists and has great service. Stumbled in here on a cold Sunday and had my appt within the hour. They have a small library of designs behind the counter and even more on the walls for you to choose from. I brought in my design and they helped me make all the final decisions on the spot before giving me a quote. Can highly recommend a visit, even if you're still just thinking about what you want. Ask for Chip he's the man.

My friends and I walked in on a Saturday afternoon looking to get some tiny tattoos. The guys at Great Lakes could not have been kinder or more patient with us. They were professional, quick, and we absolutely love our tattoos!! Prices start at $100 which seemed pretty fair to our knowledge. Cannot express enough how kind and patient they were and thirty minutes later we walked out with the cutest tiny tattoos!!

My friend and I were walk ins for some small tattoos for our last days of visiting Chicago. They got us in quickly, and were so kind and welcoming. We love the work that was done, and are glad to have little reminders of our time there. Thanks Matt and Chip. You guys are awesome. ♥️

Over the years I’ve been tattooed at GLT several times over by Beatdown, Erik, Brandon, and Danni - talented and awesome people. You can’t go wrong with anyone in the shop. Every tattoo I’ve received has been of the highest quality. No “regerts.” They are the Avengers of tattooing.
